PNG 'Tete' Seed & Akoya Pearl Collar Neckpiece

These unusual canoe shaped seeds were originally part of a wrist ornament called a 'tete', worn for ceremonial and ritual occasion in the far reaches of Papua New Guinea. They are featured here interspersed with Japanese akoya pearls, knotted together with silk of earthen tones and carefully constructed leaf forms accentuating each seed. Articulated with 22kt gold signature serpent clasp and star, sitting just above collar bone with an overall adjustable length of 37-39.5cm. Stunning!
