PNG Spondylus Shell & Akoya Pearl Collar

Very old spondylus shell fragments from Papua New Guinea, found in coastal regions and originally part of a body ornament and worn for ceremonial and hunting occasions. Precious shells are elegantly and individually reticulated and combined with fine Japanese akoya pearls in this striking collar neckpiece. Signature serpent clasp and star and all gold work in 22kt. Superb!
