Ancient Sumerian Stone & Egyptian Faïence Necklace
The incredibly rare stone beads featured in this exquisite neckpiece hail from the ancient valley between the Tigris and Euphrates Rivers and most likely fashioned into these exquisite forms by the Sumerians (circa 2600 BC). Hanging from a beautiful strand of ancient Egyptian faïence beads, the pendant is articulated on a 22kt gold bespoke bale/hinge. Fine Japanese akoya pearls and ancient clay beads complement the turquoise faïence, with 22kt gold serpent clasp and signature gold star.
Overall necklace length 45cm, pendant 4cm.
