This incredibly old carnelian dates back to the ancient civilisation of Mesopotamia, where early craftsmen would etch patterns into the carnelian stones and fashion them into magnificent shaped beads. This wonderful necklace of old turquoise, from deep inside the mountains of Afghanistan, beautifully complements this pendant of ancient beads, interposed with 22kt gold and fine seed pearls.
