PNG Turtle ‘Paya’ & Akoya Pearl Earrings

Old Papua New Guinean ‘paya’ rings fashioned from turtle shell, originally used as a ritual as well as functional object throughout the Pacific Islands. Combined here with akoya pearl at the centre of each ring, hanging as a fabulous, long drop earring from 22kt gold lotus flower post. Overall length approximately 8cm. Unusual and chic!
