PNG Conus Shell with Peridot & Amethyst Earrings

These lovely old conus shell rings were fashioned by the Papua New Guineans, circa early 19th century. Used in all manner of ceremonial and ritual decoration, conus shell was a coveted item in Island society. Featured here in these exquisite earrings with bright green peridot and amethyst. Charming!
