Olmec Bead & Tourmaline Earrings

The ancient beads in these fine earrings were created by the Olmec people, a culture which existed from 1200 to 400BC, in Central and South America. The green or 'jade' stone was a significant feature in much of the ornament produced by the Olmec  and provided a hallmark of elite status. Combined here with watermelon tourmaline these wonderful jewels drop approximately 4.5cm from a finely fashioned 22kt gold leaf shaped hook.
